Fun With Twitter

Today there was a top trend on twitter, where you replace a word in the title of a Disney movie, with the word Hobo.

And I don't know why, but I ended up having way too much fun with this one. First of all, I did this just for fun, and in my minds eye, I was picturing a hobo from the movies or cartoons. Making fun of homeless people is something I don't think I could do. It's sad that there are even people in this country who are homeless!

With that being said, here are some "Alternative" Disney titles for your viewing pleasure.☺

Beauty and the Hobo:   Instead of magically turning into a prince at the end, he simply takes a shower.

Hobo in Wonderland:   Basically, it's just a hobo in L.A., wondering why no one will eat a hamburger.

The Hobo of Notre Dame:  The hobo has found a new place to sleep, but has trouble doing so, because someone keeps ringing those darn bells!!

Hobo and the Tramp:   Two friends down on their luck, from different sides of the tracks.

Snow White and the Seven Hobos:  The feel-good comedy of the year!

Sleeping Hobo:  He pretends to be under a spell, just so he has somewhere to crash.

Hobo Hood:  He takes from the rich, to give to the poor. (Me thinks he's not a republican.)

That's it for now! If I think of some more, I'll add a part two. ☺

12 Years Of 2ge+ther

12 years ago, MTV introduced to the world not only their first movie, but the band 2gether. Like I've told you guys before, I love boy bands!!

But 2gether had something the other guys didn't.

Hilarity

Not that NSYNC didn't make me laugh. Trust me, they did! I still have my vhs tape called, NSYNC: 'N The Mix, and it was filled with the guys being goofy.

But 2gether was all about bringing the funny! If you don't know who they are, the best way to explain them is that they are a "mock" boy band. Fictional characters, yes. But they did their own singing and dancing. And they were awesome!

!

After the movie did so well, MTV decided to turn 2gether into a series, which ended far too soon, due to the sudden death of the youngest member, Michael Cuccione. Then, before we could even comprehend what had happened, 2gether was gone.

All hope seemed lost to us 2gether fans.

Until this year......2012gether.

MTV signed over the rights to the remaining members, and a reunion is in the process!

The journey will be long, but oh so worth it!

Listening to my boy bands, reminds me of a simpler time in my life. Before the hustle and bustle of family life took over. Listening to that wonderful pop music, helps me remember that I'm still me. Even on days that i'm lacking sleep, and too tired to get dressed, let alone put make-up on!

Young Amy is still in there.

And I hope she always is.♥

Auntie Em!! Auntie Em!!

This year has been devastating when it comes to tornadoes. I pray for everyone who's been affected, or knows someone affected by these storms. Tornadoes are the main reason I'm not a summer person. My  stress levels are too high to even truly enjoy all that summer has to offer. All it takes is for that warning or watch to pop up at the bottom of the TV screen, and my evening is ruined. I've said it once, and I'll say it again. It can snow all it wants, and I'll still feel safe in my own home!

The only person who has ever made me feel safe during a storm, was my Grandpa. Grandpa was a strong, hard working carpenter, who I believed wasn't afraid of anything. I'm sure that's not truly the case, but that's how he appeared to me as a small child. We lived down the road from my grandparent's, so when there was a storm, we would go down to their house.

Most storms were spent sitting on the front porch, waiting for it to pass. I remember crying a lot of the times, always in fear of dying in a tornado. I blame The Wizard of Oz. ( You know, it wasn't so much the house being picked up and spun around that scared me the most, as it was Miss Gulch turning into the Wicked Witch outside the window.)

(It still kind of freaks me out.)
But, Grandpa had a way of making me feel calm, even in the worst weather. If he saw that the thunder was bothering me, he would tell me they were just rolling potatoes in heaven. I know a lot of people grew up saying they were bowling in heaven, but it was always potatoes for this gal. That's probably why I grew up not minding the thunder so much. The sound is really quite soothing, when I think about it. That is, as long as it's just the rumbly kind. I'm still not crazy about the loud, crazy booms.lol

My grandpa died in 1992, when I was an 8th grader. I'm 33 now, and I still wish he was around to comfort me when it storms. I don't think I've felt completely safe during a storm since.

(Just so you know, this part freaks me out more than the other.)

If I Were Bella.....

My husband bought me Eclipse for Christmas, and I finally got around to watching it this week. Since then, I've watched it almost every night. I'm such a sucker (no pun intended) for the Twilight movies! It's just the perfect fantasy love story! What girl wouldn't want, not one, but two super hot, and equally nice guys with super human powers, drooling over her?! I must admit to myself that if they weren't so easy on the eyes, the story might not go too far for me. (Just to make it clear, I only allow myself to be shallow in these particular situations.) The only thing I can hardly stand about the story, is that she has to choose between the two lovelies. So, here is what I would do.

I would be like, "Hey, guys!! Let's move to Utah and live happily ever after!!" "It's allowed here, don't ya know?!" (It IS a fantasy after all, right?)

P.S.  Real Amy SO does NOT believe in polygamy!!  Actually, I wonder if they allow wives to have more than one husband, instead of  a husband having more than one wife? Oy. Leave it to me to over think a fantasy.
