12 years ago, MTV introduced to the world not only their first movie, but the band 2gether. Like I've told you guys before, I love boy bands!!
But 2gether had something the other guys didn't.
Hilarity
Not that NSYNC didn't make me laugh. Trust me, they did! I still have my vhs tape called, NSYNC: 'N The Mix, and it was filled with the guys being goofy.
But 2gether was all about bringing the funny! If you don't know who they are, the best way to explain them is that they are a "mock" boy band. Fictional characters, yes. But they did their own singing and dancing. And they were awesome!
!
After the movie did so well, MTV decided to turn 2gether into a series, which ended far too soon, due to the sudden death of the youngest member, Michael Cuccione. Then, before we could even comprehend what had happened, 2gether was gone.
All hope seemed lost to us 2gether fans.
Until this year......2012gether.
MTV signed over the rights to the remaining members, and a reunion is in the process!
The journey will be long, but oh so worth it!
Listening to my boy bands, reminds me of a simpler time in my life. Before the hustle and bustle of family life took over. Listening to that wonderful pop music, helps me remember that I'm still me. Even on days that i'm lacking sleep, and too tired to get dressed, let alone put make-up on!
Young Amy is still in there.
And I hope she always is.♥

10 Years and Counting
10 years ago today, I married my partner in crime.
Just look at us! We had absolutely no idea what we were getting ourselves into. LOL
This couple right here, had no idea, that in 10 months time they would become the parent's of a beautiful baby girl.
They didn't realize how hard it would be to pay bills and take care of a baby.
They couldn't have known that at least for them, the second year of marriage was the hardest, and would almost break them.
They probably didn't realize how true the phrase, "Love prevails" could mean to them.
Little did they know, that in 4 1/2 years, they would become parents once again, to another beautiful baby girl.
They made it through the heartache of the doctor telling them they shouldn't have anymore children, due to a large amount of internal scarring from 2 c-sections.
They talked, and prayed, and asked for guidance on making a decision to have another baby, even without the doctor's blessing, and were given those answers in a way that would be simply... miraculous.
8 years after their wedding day, they would become parents once again, this time to a son.

3 kids, and 10 years later, they're still going strong.
They've dealt with ups and downs....
They've said goodbye to family and friends, until they meet again....
They've gone from having some money, to having almost no money....
They continue to laugh with each other, and sometimes at each other.....

They can drive each other completely bonkers, but still can laugh about it.
But most of all, they still love each other through the good and the bad.
Happy 10 year Anniversary, my love. And many more on channel 4.;-)

Why I Love Fall
Fall has always been my favorite season. There's nothing about it I dislike. (Well, maybe the cold rainy days, and those stupid Asian Lady Beetles!)
But other than that, it's nothing but love.
I love the fall foliage. God truly is an amazing artist.
I love the smells that come along with it. Like I've mentioned before, I'm a little obsessed with smells.
Like the smell of burning leaves!

Or the inside of a trick-or-treat bag! Throw a popcorn ball in there, and it's heaven, in scent form! (They need to make it into a Yankee Candle, if you ask me.)
Or how about the smell of a freshly carved pumpkin?
I actually enjoy raking leaves, (I find it quite therapeutic) and also jumping in them. I will continue to jump in leaf piles as long as the good Lord lets me!
Just don't jump in a pile of leaves with a wet sucker.
I love things like bonfires, hay rides, and toasted marshmallows.
Apple cider, caramel apples, and anything else apple you can think of.
I love the fun of Halloween, and the family time at Thanksgiving.
I think a lot of people let the wonderfulness of autumn, pass them by.
They spend too much time thinking about what comes after fall, and not enough time enjoying what the season has to offer.
So get outside and smell a leaf or something! (You won't be alone, because I've already done it.)

5 Blessings....And Sometimes 6.
Do you remember when you were younger, and your friends would ask, "If you had to pick just ONE of your 5 senses to live without,( 6, if you see dead people) which would it be?"
I always had such a hard time choosing, because I just couldn't imagine being without any of them!
My mind would always go deeper than the whole "Fun concept" of the game. I would start to think about not being able to see the winter snow, or my Christmas tree in all it's glory.
Not being able to hear music, or the sound of my children someday. Not being able to feel the sand in my toes, or feel the warmth of a much needed hug.
But the worst ones to even imagine living without, for me at least, are my sense of taste and smell.
Especially my sense of smell! I'm just too much of a smell person! (And food person, but that's another post altogether...)
Smells trigger the part of your brain that stores memories, and me being a person who likes to reminisce, it's the closest thing to a time machine (or Delorean) I've got!
Like how the smell of school supplies takes me back to elementary school, or how every year I have to stick my nose in my daughter's trick-or-treat bag, because it smells the same as mine did when I was a kid.
I know smells are a large reason why fall is my favorite season! There's just something wonderfully refreshing about breathing in that crisp fall air.
The smell of burning leaves or the way the leaves smell when you jump into them.
The smell of campfires, popcorn, and roasted marshmallows. The way a pumkin smells when you first open it up.
Could you imagine not being able to smell any of these things?! Thank God for the gifts of this life he has given me! It makes me think of the play, "Our Town" when Emily is saying good-by to the Earth.
Thank you God, for all you have given me in this life! Thank you for my children's laughter, for my husband's love, for the sights and smells of fall, and for the pumpkin pie that I'll probably be eating too much of....:-)

"It goes so fast. We don't have time to look at one another. I didn't realize. So all that was going on and we never noticed. Take me back-up the hill-to my grave. But first: Wait! One more look. Good-bye, good-bye world. Good-bye Grover's Corners.....Mama and Papa. Good-bye to clocks ticking...and Mama's sunflowers. And food and coffee. And new ironed dresses and hot baths...and sleeping and waking up. Oh Earth, you are too wonderful for anybody to realize you. Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it-every, every minute?"
Thank you God, for all you have given me in this life! Thank you for my children's laughter, for my husband's love, for the sights and smells of fall, and for the pumpkin pie that I'll probably be eating too much of....:-)
