12 Years Of 2ge+ther

12 years ago, MTV introduced to the world not only their first movie, but the band 2gether. Like I've told you guys before, I love boy bands!!

But 2gether had something the other guys didn't.

Hilarity

Not that NSYNC didn't make me laugh. Trust me, they did! I still have my vhs tape called, NSYNC: 'N The Mix, and it was filled with the guys being goofy.

But 2gether was all about bringing the funny! If you don't know who they are, the best way to explain them is that they are a "mock" boy band. Fictional characters, yes. But they did their own singing and dancing. And they were awesome!

!

After the movie did so well, MTV decided to turn 2gether into a series, which ended far too soon, due to the sudden death of the youngest member, Michael Cuccione. Then, before we could even comprehend what had happened, 2gether was gone.

All hope seemed lost to us 2gether fans.

Until this year......2012gether.

MTV signed over the rights to the remaining members, and a reunion is in the process!

The journey will be long, but oh so worth it!

Listening to my boy bands, reminds me of a simpler time in my life. Before the hustle and bustle of family life took over. Listening to that wonderful pop music, helps me remember that I'm still me. Even on days that i'm lacking sleep, and too tired to get dressed, let alone put make-up on!

Young Amy is still in there.

And I hope she always is.♥

These Christmas Commercials are Part of This Complete Breakfast.

You might be thinking, Wow, Amy sure loves Christmas commercials!!

And you'd be right!!

All these commercials hold a special place in my heart, because they manage to sweep me back to my childhood, and help me remember simpler times.

Who would have thought, that something that lasts usually no more than 30 seconds, could do that? ☺

A Month Of Thanks

I can't believe I can say this twice in one week, but today I'm thankful that last night, I got yet another tweet from a celebrity!! (I know, right?!)

I'll share all the details, that are probably way more exciting to me than you.lol

It started with the retweet from Psych USA. They retweeted actor Chris Gorham's tweet to Tv Guide. He tweeted to them, that he nominates Phineas and Ferb as the new Oscar hosts, since Eddie Murphy has chosen to step down.

I then replied that if that happened, then they could have the zebra come out and introduce the nominees by calling them all Kevin. (If you're a Phineas and Ferb fan, then you know who the zebra is. If not, here he is, Kevin.)

Then I thought I might as well start following Chris Gorham, because I loved him as Henry on Ugly Betty, and if he's a Phineas and Ferb fan, then he's just awesome, and worth the follow! (He's currently starring on the USA network's show, Covert Affairs.)

Before I hit the follow button, I noticed his latest tweet, thanking everyone who follows him for getting him over 60,000 followers.

I replied to that tweet by saying, You had me at Phineas and Ferb reference. (Except dorky me, spelled Phineas, P-H-I-N-E-U-S. I still don't know why I did that! Like I told a friend on Facebook last night, I guess I need a Spellbetterinator.lol)

Maybe a minute after I sent that tweet, my email icon popped up, telling me I had a new message from Twitter. At that point I just knew I had struck gold again!! I opened my email and couldn't believe what it said!

"Chris Gorham has sent you a DIRECT MESSAGE on Twitter!!"

Direct message?! Are you kidding me with this?! That actually takes effort to do! And yes, once again it was short and to the point, but once again I'll take it!!

He simply wrote, "Thanks for the follow!!"

I like to think it had something to do with Phineas and Ferb.;-)

A Month Of Thanks

Today I'm thankful that last night, Mama Punkin herself, AKA Dot Marie Jones, AKA Coach Beiste from Glee, responded to my tweet on Twitter!!

I tweeted that I thought she stole the show last year, during the Christmas episode, and was wondering if she was going to make me cry again this year.

And she responded with, "Maybe Tues. night episode 5."

Yes, it was a short response, but it's still a response, so I'll take it! And I'm pretty sure tomorrow's episode is episode 5, so I can't wait to see what she's talking about!!

I've always had a goal of getting a tweet back from a celebrity, and I can't believe it's finally happened!:) Dot is really good at tweeting her fans though, and she's the only famous person I've seen, that actually takes the time to write back to tons of people, almost on a daily basis. She refers to the fans as "Her little Punkins", and the fans refer to her as "Mama Punkin".

Such a cool experience for this stay at home mommy! It's the little things people!!:)

The Walton And Gilmore Connection

So, I've been on a Walton's kick, ever since they've been showing 3 episodes a day on The Hallmark Channel. I've always loved that show, even as a child. I like how they show that through family and faith, you can overcome most anything life throws at you.

When I really enjoy a show, I usually try to find out as much as I can, when it comes to fun facts and such. And the fun fact I discovered last night made my heart happy. I was positively giddy with excitement! ( Yes, I know it's only a TV show.)

OK, so I'm also a huge fan of The Gilmore Girls, and have never missed an episode. (What I wouldn't give, to live in a small town like Stars Hollow. And like Lorelai Gilmore, I too can smell when it's going to snow.)

So here's the fun fact, and why there's a Walton/Gilmore connection.

The Walton's House

And here it is on The Gilmore Girls, as the future Dragonfly Inn.

The Dragonfly Inn, after the remodel. They added another window  on the upstairs right, but the  left side is the same.

I just thought that was so cool!! You always think that they tear everything apart after filming, to make room for new productions, but it's nice to see that's not always the case!  Good for Warner Bros.!!:)
